Hours are 6am-6pm on the samerotating 2 week schedule. (Week 1 M,T,F,S / Week 2 Su, W, Th).
Chemical manufacturingexperience and a stable work history.
Military experience highlypreferred
Seeking Bachelors Degree -Chemistry
Run lines / automation - willbe operating machines vs. hand filling
Forklift experience
In this role the contractorwill be participating in chemical reactors, adding chemicals to reactors. Thisis NOT a mixing chemicals position.

Candidates Profile
Education
Bachelors degree inchemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or other scientific discipline
1-2 years of experience in aproduction environment preferred
OR
Associate degree with 5 +years large scale chemical manufacturing experience
Work Experience
2-3 years of working in asimilar environment preferred.
Job specific Competencies& Skills
Knowledge and Skills :
1+ year production experience.
Detail oriented with excellentorganizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Logical approach to problemsolving.
Experience with customerinteraction.
Knowledge of ProcessImprovement methodology (e.g., PDSA, Lean Manufacturing, and / or Six Sigma).
Ability to operate poweredindustrial equipment, Reactor systems, Industrial centrifuges and dryers, Ionexchange columns, and DCS systems. SAP, Word, Excel, Access, experience a plus.
Knowledge of product flowthroughout the manufacturing process.
Ability to effectivelycommunicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally andwritten.
Ability to work in a groupsetting.
Ability to demonstrateattention to detail.
Ability to work quickly andadjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated problem-solvingand team building skills with the ability to work with a diverse group ofpeople.
Essential Job Functions :
Ability to cover flooroperations when supervisor is out or away from the office. Communicate thestatus of operations to shift supervision

Additional Local Needs :
Production Shift work couldinclude : 12 hour shifts, night schedules with competitive shift differential,and / or rotating shifts working during various days of the week
Requires the ability to liftand carry up to 55 pounds while wearing personal protective equipment,including respirators, for an extended time. Ability to move 300+ pound drumsof material, assists available as needed

Environmental Conditions :
General Office Environment : Noise level in office environment is generally quiet.
Manufacturing Environmentccasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Is regularly required to wearappropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses / goggles, chemical resistantsuits, gloves, safety shoes, respirator) and other personal protection equipmentPPE to protect themselves from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms ofliquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles. The work area may occasionallybe wet, humid, abnormally hot or cold.
Physical Requirements :
If performing office duties : Employee is required to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all officeequipment. Employee must view computer monitors for long periods of time.Vision requirements are close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employeeoccasionally will be required to lift, generally no more than 55 pounds.
If performingwarehouse / distribution duties : While performing the duties of this job, theemployee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach
above the shoulder, stoop,kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time. The employee must be able totalk, hear, taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift 55 pounds and / ormove 300+ pounds without additional employee assistance. Employee may berequired to move more than 300+ pounds with assistance. Specific visionrequirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularlyuses manufacturing equipment, powered industrial equipment, phones, computers,computer monitors and all office / laboratory equipment.
