Location : Columbus, OH

Duration : 6 Months (Start : Immediate Need)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Job Details

  • Hourly Rate : $56 / HR (local)
  • Per Diem : No perdiem
  • Completion Bonus : $150 / month
  • Pay : Weekly

Schedule :

  • 50+ hours; M-F, 1st shift and 2nd shift with potential for weekend work
  • Project Scope

    The construction safety manager will oversee subcontractors at the Data Center during the construction phase. Has a safety manager on site, will be more paperwork and a field support role.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have the following requirements :

  • OSHA 500 or higher
  • Bilingual Spanish / English
  • 3+ years of experience as a construction safety manager
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
  • Provide safety training as needed
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
  • Skills & Knowledge Skills :

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Knowledge :

  • Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
