SCHEDULE : MONDAY - THURSDAY (10-HOUR SHIFTS) OR MONDAY – FRIDAY (8-HOUR SHIFTS)
In this role you will represent the company in the field and will be responsible for making sure that the crew and equipment are ready for the next assignment. You will need to ensure that the work is performed to company standards and that the results are presented in a clear and concise format.
You will be responsible to lead the field effort for various surveying tasks including; construction layout, topographic, boundary, right-of-way, and control survey projectsKey Responsibilities
Assign and monitor work, and provide input for evaluation of field survey crew membersInstruct and train crew members in survey methods, use of equipment, and field safety proceduresGather field survey data through the use of conventional, Global Positioning System (GPS) and Terrestrial LiDAR Scanning methodsSet up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment, including a total station, data collector, GPS equipment and a terrestrial LiDAR scanner.Prepare field notes and drawingsPerform field surveying for roadway, bridges, and flood control projects, including survey construction stake out, locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control for right of ways and boundaries and level runs to establish benchmarks.List Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Two (2) years of crew chief experience.Good communication skills with the ability to manage and organize a field crewAbility to carry and lift equipment as needed on the projectAbility to cut and / or clear brush while establishing survey lines (machete use)Knowledge of equipment and ability to set up for various types for different work situationsAbility to hold and proficiently use all measuring devicesValid driver's license with approved / acceptable driving history requiredAbility to travel (if needed)Benefits
