- One year minimum of animal related experience required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist doctors and Technicians with the restraint of animals for examinations, procedures, treatments, radiographs, etc.Prepare the surgical suite, clean after, and set up for the following procedure.Prepare wet sink for lacerations and minor procedures, and clean after procedures.Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments, surgical packs, gowns, and drapes.Knowledge of names and locations of all instruments and equipment used in surgery.Bathe, nail trims, feed & walk patients.Prepare prescriptions as ordered by the Doctor.Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas.Perform Kennel duties as required, including sweeping, mopping, and laundry.Perform inventory and restocking duties as required.Always be in position and prepared to work at the start of each shift. Consistent, on-time arrival and attendance at work each day you are scheduled.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work well with others as a team.Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a changing environment.Handle stress and pressure calmly, with poise and tact.Self-motivated, hard worker.Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate appropriately.Willingness and ability to learn new tasks quickly.Ability to receive constructive criticism and accept responsibility for actions.Reliable and dependable.Common sense, good judgment, and a sense of humor.SCHEDULE :
Swing shift (2 : 00 pm - 2 : 00 am) Sunday-TuesdayWeekends and holidays are required.No on-call.QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Basic customer service skills are required.Basic computer skills are necessary.Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds.BENEFITS PACKAGE :
