The Role
As the Reliability Lab Manager, you will lead a team of skilled technicians supporting the Reliability Engineering group across projects in various stages of development. This role sits at the center of lab operations - planning and managing the physical hosting of racks, servers, and other project-driven materials essential to program success. You will partner closely with engineers, program managers, and leadership to ensure the lab operates efficiently, supports innovation, and scales with business needs. You are someone who anticipates future needs, works cross-functionally with technical teams, and inspires technicians to continuously improve lab operations.
Key Responsibilities
Preferred Experience
Proven experience managing lab operations or technical facilities, ideally in an engineering or reliability environment. Strong background in coordinating cross-functional teams and leading technicians. Knowledge of equipment calibration, ESD compliance, and lab safety standards. Familiarity with managing budgets, procurement, and vendor coordination. Reliability Testing & Analysis knowledgeable in accelerated life testing and failure analysis. Lab Operations & Quality Systems skilled in managing workflows, calibration, and compliance with ISO 17025 and internal quality standards. Continuous Improvement background in Lean methodologies with a focus on driving efficiency, reducing waste, and improving performance. Leadership & Team Management experience leading lab teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Project & Resource Management strong skills in managing test schedules, budgets, and lab resources to meet program milestones. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage engineers, program managers, and leadership. Black Belt or Green Belt in Quality / Continuous Improvement preferred.
Academic Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
