Setting : Psychiatric Emergency Services & Crisis Evaluation
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide locum tenens coverage within a high-acuity Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) environment. This role is ideal for physicians experienced in crisis assessment, emergency psychiatry, and managing involuntary holds.
Position Overview
- Psychiatric Emergency Services + crisis evaluations
- Average Daily Census : 2530
- Staffed by up to 3 physicians per shift
- EMR : EPIC
- Patient mix includes :
- ED psychiatric presentations
- Crisis holds (5150 / 5585)
- Walk-ins
- Transfers
- Psychiatric consults
Schedule Structure
This position follows a 28-day rotating schedule shared among 4 providers .
Total Shifts per Provider : 9 shifts every 28-day cycleTotal Hours : ~125 hours per rotationShift Type : Overnight onlyShift Durations :15-hour shifts (majority)10-hour shifts interspersedNote : Current team members report that the longer overnights can be challenging; some schedule flexibility may be available.Compensation
Max Pay Rate to Provider : $250 / hrQualifications
