The real estate practice of a premier AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a highly capable and driven Real Estate Associate to join its Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will bring 45 years of substantial experience in real estate transactional matters, including demonstrated proficiency with real estate debt and / or equity deals . The Associate will work closely with partners and clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance throughout the lifecycle of real estate transactions and requires strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and commercial leasing across multiple asset classes.
- Advise clients on matters related to real estate financing , including debt and equity structuring , joint ventures, and related documentation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of real estate agreements, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, development agreements, and ancillary transactional documents .
- Conduct and manage comprehensive due diligence , including title and survey review, corporate authority analysis, and examination of property-related reports.
- Coordinate and oversee the closing process , ensuring timely completion of all deliverables, resolution of issues, and smooth execution of transaction documents.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their business goals and provide practical, strategic legal advice aligned with those objectives.
- Work effectively with internal teams, opposing counsel, lenders, and third-party consultants to facilitate efficient and successful transactions.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Georgia.45 years of focused experience in commercial real estate transactional work.Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work independently with appropriate supervision.
