Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2025 Chicago's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2025 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst that is responsible for cash flow monitoring and management. This position will also provide analytics and reporting across all asset class sectors for the Investment Accounting team. As a member of the Investment Accounting team, the Senior Financial Accounting Analyst will prepare daily and monthly performance reporting, as well as providing timely and accurate general ledger account reconciliations and related account analysis to support the monthly financial statements and ad hoc reporting to management.
More specifically, as a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst you will have the following key responsibilities :
- Monitor daily cash positions across various accounts and funds.
- Implement cash forecasting models to optimize liquidity management.
- Execute cash movements, including wire transfers, redemptions, and subscriptions.
- Reconcile cash transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly reconciliations (including, but not limited to, detailed research, internal and external follow-up and journal entry reclassifications as needed) of the balance sheet accounts and the investment income, expense, gains and losses accounts to ensure proper recording in the general ledger and accurate financial statement presentation.
- Prepare the monthly analytical support for the financial statement balance sheet and investment income, expense, gains and losses.
- Assist in the day-to-day activities of the Accounting and Finance Department, including, but not limited to, compliance and / or development of policies, processes, procedures and internal controls.
- Support the Investment and Operations Accounting Manager with Investment Team related projects, including but not limited to automation projects and excel training.
- Create and distribute a variety of daily and monthly investment performance related reports.
- Respond to various ad hoc requests from the Investment and Operations Accounting Director.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent work experience.5+ years of analytical experience related to investment and financial data.Expert Excel skills; high-level proficiency in other MS Office applications.Preferred Qualifications :
