Job Description

The Shop Assistant plays a vital support role in our production shop, helping technicians and welders complete projects efficiently and safely. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, learns quickly, and wants to build a career in industrial service and repair.

You will assist with daily operations including preparation, cleaning, painting, material handling, and basic assembly / disassembly of radiators, coolers, and diesel emission components.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with disassembly and reassembly of radiators, coolers, heat exchangers, and DPF / DOC / SCR filter systems.
• Support cleaning and prep operations including washing, blasting, degreasing, and painting components.
• Maintain shop organization : sweep, clean work areas, restock materials, and handle scrap disposal.
• Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools under supervision.
• Assist with receiving, staging, and packaging parts for shipment.
• Perform quality checks and ensure all parts are properly tagged and documented.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
• Participate in daily team meetings and assist in continuous improvement efforts.
