About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Cardiovascular Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience

License : State RN License in good standing

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have : ASN required, BSN preferred

Description :

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver.

They assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

The RN provides care to these patients by utilizing the nursing process.

The role involves implementing procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.

The RN maintains accurate documentation of nursing care provided.

This documentation ensures the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.

The RN completes initial assessments upon patient admission.

They develop appropriate plans of care in accordance with unit standards.

Plans are based on patient and family needs.

The RN implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.

They modify the plan of care based on continuous evaluation.

The RN takes responsibility for patient and employee safety.

Safety hazards and incidents must be reported and / or corrected.

Communication with others should be direct and in private when necessary.

The RN should offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.

They confer with colleagues to expand their knowledge base.

Identifying their own learning needs and taking initiative is essential.

The RN fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.

Department specific job functions include maintaining a clean work environment.

The RN must maintain hospital and unit based competencies.

Hourly rounding on patients is required.

The RN should proactively seek opportunities to assist internal and external customers.
