POSITION SUMMARY :

The Senior Manager – Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of the revenue cycle functions, including billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes. This role ensures optimal financial performance, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency across the organization. The Senior Manager will lead cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to drive revenue integrity and enhance the patient financial experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead and manage revenue cycle operations including billing, coding, charge capture, claims processing, and collections.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance and reduce denials and days in A / R.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to improve documentation, coding accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor relationships related to revenue cycle functions, including clearinghouses and collection agencies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor revenue cycle staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Resolve escalated patient billing issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Participate in audits and support internal and external compliance reviews.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT,ICD-10), payer requirements, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience with EHR and billing systems; proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive performance improvements.
  • Commitment to patient satisfaction and continuous improvement.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT :

  • Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform an activity including viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, interpretation, etc.
  • Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making.
  • Must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods of time
