Customer service lead Mission
The Customer Service Lead’s mission is to assist the Customer Service Manager. They are to be responsible for overseeing the cashier operations in the retail environment including supervising and teaching other cashiers, managing the checkout area, ensuring accurate transactions, resolving customer issues, and maintaining cash control.
Essential Functions
Supervising Cashiers :
- training new cashiers
- monitoring performance
- addressing any issues with cashier operations
Checkout Operations :
Managing the checkout areaEnsure efficient flow of customersCompliance :
Enforce store policies regarding payment methods, coupons, records and security proceduresShift Management :
Assigning register coverage and ensuring proper staffing at all timesManaging breaks & lunches for the customer service retail departmentsRequired skills :
Strong customer service skillsAttention to detail & accuracy with cash handlingLeadership and supervisory abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasksExcellent communication skillsRequirements :
Education, Knowledge and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or currently be enrolled in High SchoolCashier experience desiredTo provide superior customer service, have a general knowledge of all products and menusThorough knowledge of or ability to learn the POS system’s functions and operationsPhysical and Other Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 50 poundsMust be able to walk, bend, squat, reach overhead and side-to-side, and stand for an extended period of timeAs dictated by business and need, may be asked to work extended hours and varying work schedule
