Job description

Emergency Medicine Physician wanted an hour outside of Dallas

Certification & Training Requirements

  • Accepted Boards : ABEM (preferred), AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS, FNP (ANCC, AANP)
  • Residency : EM residency preferred; FM residency with strong ED experience accepted
  • Required Certifications :

FM-trained or EM board-eligible : ATLS, ACLS, PALS

  • EM board-certified : Proof of ATLS at least once
  • Start Date : February 2026

    • Assignment Length : 1 year

    Minimum Shifts : 5 per month

    Coverage & Staffing Model

  • Physician Coverage : 24 hrs / day
  • Shift Times : 6a-6p & 6p-6a daily
  • NP / PA Coverage :

    • Monday : 8a-5p & 12p-9p

  • Tue-Fri : 8a-8p
  • Sat & Sun : 10a-8p

    • Patient Volume & Details

  • Annual Volume : ~21,705
  • Patients per Day : ~60
  • EMS Percentage : 10-15%
  • Admitted Patients : 0% (all transfers to main campus)

  • ED Beds : 16

  • Backup Specialties : None
  • Lab : Limited capabilities
  • Imaging : 24 / 7 US & CT with reads

  • An active state license is required
  • Flu immunization required (waiver allowed)

    • Credentialing & Onboarding

  • Credentialing Timeframe : ~60+ days
  • Expedited Privileges : Temporary privileges possible, still ~60+ days
  • EMR Training : EPIC (test-out available for experienced users)
