Description : Position Summary :
The ideal candidate would be responsible for oversight of all inventory reconciliation to include proper costing, ownership, and WO issue oversight. This candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and the sizing of material to meet engine build demand, create and maintain inventory levels to ensure material availability and utilize the material demand planning application. Demonstrated data analysis skills are required.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze and plan the optimal inventory levels to maintain engine build schedule.
- Monitor and adjust levels as demand shifts.
- Analyze and plan expendable inventory stocking strategy.
- Utilize min / max and optimize reorder levels to reduce order costs, handling costs, shipping costs, etc.
- Analyze and plan routable material levels to maintain availability to meet engine schedule.
- Set optimal spare routable inventory levels to support engine build demand.
- Analyze and plan long term inventory stocking strategies to maintain required service levels to support operational production.
- Coordinate make / buy decisions with Director of Purchasing.
- Constantly look for ways to continuously improve the performance of Gate 2.
- Monitor part exchange transactions to ensure accurate ownership and cost is maintained.
- Review work order parts detail to ensure transactions are being recorded and reconciled properly for closure purposes.
- Segment and analyze current inventory for reduction / sales opportunities. Monitor aging inventory and ensure material is turning in and out of stock.
- Analyze Quantum transactions and balances involving parts issuance, movements, and sub-work order reconciliation to ensure proper financial and ownership.
- Audit inventory reports to ensure accurate financial cost allocation and alignment.
- Monitor overall inventory for data accuracy and clean data as necessary.
- Close Work Orders.
- Discrepancy cleanup of WIP Inventory.
- Other duties as necessary.
Requirements : Experience :
2 years of Material coordination and inventory management.Quantum experience required.Previous MRO experience preferred.Experience in utilizing analytical tools.Education :
High School diploma or equivalent required.2–4-year degree in Business Administration or Aviation field preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Knowledge of Aircraft Engine Maintenance (CF6 experience preferred).Proven ability to use the engine manual, illustrated parts catalog and Service Bulletins and teach team members on the use of these reference materials.Self-motivated and excellent team player.Proven excellent follow-up and organizational skills.Proven verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to handle deadlines and work well under pressure.Advanced knowledge of Quantum.Proven ability to collaborate with various departments.Ability to formulate and recommend corrective action measures regarding inventory levels and discrepancies.Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements
