Sunday–Thursday, 10 : 30 PM–7 : 30 AM (Onsite, Full-Time)
$95,000–$105,000 base salary + performance bonus
About the Opportunity
A well-established, fourth-generation industrial services company specializing in healthcare support operations is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead its overnight maintenance and facilities operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of complex production machinery within a high-volume, 24 / 7 industrial environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, strong leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Supervise and support a team of mechanics and porters to ensure equipment reliability and facility cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Preventive Maintenance : Oversee all preventive maintenance programs, ensuring that schedules are met and equipment downtime is minimized.
- Troubleshooting : Aid maintenance personnel with diagnostic troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
- Quality Control : Monitor and verify repair quality, ensuring maintenance standards and production goals are consistently achieved.
- Facility Oversight : Manage building and plant repair needs, coordinating timely responses to physical plant issues.
- Scheduling & Coordination : Maintain the porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of machinery and work areas.
- Safety Compliance : Lead by example in following all OSHA, labor, and company safety programs; ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained working environment.
- Documentation : Complete and verify maintenance records, work orders, and reports accurately in the in-house maintenance management system.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management to address operational issues and implement solutions.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, workflow efficiency, and maintenance practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience repairing industrial processing equipment (manufacturing, production, or military maintenance background preferred).Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience overseeing maintenance or technical personnel.Strong working knowledge of industrial systems, including :Electrical wiring and high-voltage (up to 480V) componentsPneumatic, steam, hydraulic, and water systemsBuilding maintenance and infrastructure supportProven ability to respond quickly and effectively in time-sensitive, high-pressure environments.Skilled in using basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly.Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety standards.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn in-house maintenance systems.Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English / Spanish) communication skills.Experience in large-scale industrial or production plants (e.g., packaging, pharmaceutical, corrugated manufacturing, or similar environments).
