Automation Assembly & Service Technician
We are seeking a skilled Automation Assembly & Service Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will assemble, troubleshoot, and repair automated valve packages, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery. You will also support customer installations, provide technical training, and contribute to process improvements—all in a collaborative environment that values your expertise and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, commission, troubleshoot, and repair valve and automation products both in-house and at customer facilities.
- Support and supervise customer installations, startups, and scheduled maintenance.
- Manage assembly inventory, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting.
- Provide on-site training and technical support to customers on automation products.
- Document all work accurately, maintaining detailed records of assemblies, repairs, and service activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing timely updates on progress and issues.
- Identify and report product non-conformances, working with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Support professional service programs such as preventive maintenance, retrofits, and refurbishments.
- Travel approximately 20% within the region, with occasional overnight or out-of-state trips for training and service.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.1–3 years of experience in valve automation, mechanical assembly, or related technical service.Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and electrical controls.Basic understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work in varied environments, including outdoor, indoor, and confined spaces.Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.Proficiency with MS Office and a detail-oriented, proactive approach.Valid driver's license and insurance required.Certifications in electrical, mechanical, or related fields.2–3 years of experience in field service or warehouse inventory management.Additional technical training, such as Lean Six Sigma.J-18808-Ljbffr
