Senior Behavioral Health Care Management Clinician (RN Only)

Your Role

As a Senior Behavioral Health Care Management Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in assisting individuals with behavioral health needs in navigating the healthcare system. You will connect members to valuable behavioral health providers, treatments, and programs while providing vital support in assessing emotional and psychological well-being. Your expertise will aid in resource coordination, crisis intervention, substance abuse management, and referrals related to behavioral or mental health. In this position, you will collaborate with physicians and nurse care managers, acting as a consultant for patients with complex psychosocial needs. An extensive focus on crisis intervention, patient and family management, interdisciplinary collaboration, psychosocial assessments, education, advocacy, and community resource linkages will be integral to your role.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Possess a current and valid RN License. Preference will be given to candidates with licensure from a compact state.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an advanced degree is preferred.
• Current pursuit of Certified Case Manager (CCM) Certification is ideal.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, healthcare, or a related field is required.
• Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years of managed care experience in inpatient, outpatient, or managed care settings.
• Experience in transitions of care is a plus.
• Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, managed care principles, and care coordination is essential.
• You should possess excellent communication skills.
• Experience in conducting thorough psychosocial assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions for complex client populations is crucial.
• Considerable knowledge of various psychosocial challenges and understanding of behavioral health diagnoses and treatments is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
