MedCadre is seeking a travel nurse RN OB / GYN for a travel nursing job in Machias, Maine.

Job Title : OB RN (Labor, Deliver, Post Partum)

Location : Machias, ME 04654

Shift : Nights- 7pm to 7am

Travel Pay Rate : $2800 weekly ($43.16 / hr on w2 + $1246 / week stipend)

Local Pay Rate : $70 per hour on W2

Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025

Job Type : 13-week Contract

Position Summary :

  • MUST HAVE LABOR AND DELIVERY EXPERIENCE AND BE WILLING TO WORK IN LABOR / DELIVERY AND RECOVERY!!!!!
  • Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice, implementing and evaluating the age appropriate care of all patients in the department (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery and post-op gyn patients), for managing supplies and equipment, and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unity and other hospital departments.
  • RN adheres to hospital policies regarding,confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives and ADA.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • One year minimum of acute care experience as an RN.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation.
  • Effective communication skills, written and oral. Computer skills.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to women throughout their reproductive life cycle, including prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients, documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in various procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Educate patients on family planning, prenatal care, and other women’s health issues while promoting health coaching practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation of medical records.
  • Participate in patient triage and provide critical care as needed in emergency situations.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • RN Maine State License, BLS, ACLS, NRP & STABLE Required
