Water Inventory Coordinator
The Water Inventory Coordinator works in the Water Distribution office at the A Street Complex. The Coordinator is responsible for performing all of the administrative duties for the Transmission / Distribution Division which consists of three operational areas: Distribution, Reservoirs, and Service & Meters.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
- Minimum three (3) years increasingly responsible administrative support/secretarial experience.
- Knowledge of business office functions.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills word processing, spreadsheets, reading maps.
Essential Functions:
- Obtain credit card documentation, reconcile and pay bills.
- Manage the Utility Locating Program including tracking, billing and dispatching locators for emergency requests. Average number of annual requests is 13,500.
- Manage construction water sales program; tracking rentals of 70 meters and tracking monthly water consumption.
- Assist in management of Water Parts Warehouse for both internal and contractor use.
- Assist with annual inventory bid requisition, tracking purchase orders, logging received materials, entering monthly usage requisitions, and preparing monthly and annual reports and associated documents for audit.
- Accurately and efficiently enter information into a terminal, PC, or other keyboard device.
- Effectively and accurately works at multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure and with constant interruptions.
- Learn the organization, procedures and operating details of the department/division.
- Perform routine clerical work including the maintenance of appropriate records and preparation of reports.
- Type at a speed necessary for adequate job performance.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with City staff and the public.

- Communication skills sufficient to convey information via telephone and in person.

- Manual dexterity sufficient to accurately input, retrieve and verify work assignments.
- Remain in a sitting position for extended period of time.
