Description / Requirements for Assignment :

NCCPA or ANCC / AGNP-C Certified - required

California active license required (NPs must have CA NP furnishing number); Completion of CA CSEC (California Controlled Substance Education Course (PA's Only)

California DEA, ACLS, ATLS - required during credentialing

Availability at time of name clear - required

Clean Malpractice / Background - highly preferred

Must be actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital - required

Setting : Level II Trauma Center

EMR : Cerner Care B

Required Procedures : Low / moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access / IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal / moderate displacement). High risk procedures : G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion / defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.
