Electrical Superintendent

Projects are within two hours of Edwardsville, IL. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for executing specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction / installation activities on site. You will issue relevant quality records and, when necessary, write and send non-conformance reports to the QC Supervisor. This role includes checking cable laying, cable identification, and performing all relevant loop checks.

Responsibilities :

• Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction / installation activities.
• Issue relevant quality records and non-conformance reports when necessary.
• Check and verify cable laying and identification.
• Perform relevant loop checks.
• Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure compliance with governing codes.
• Verify that cable trays and conduit runs are properly supported and wiring installed correctly.
• Confirm instruments and cable glands are installed correctly.
• Ensure electrical layout and installation meets job specifications.
• Convey electrical deficiencies to assigned teams and supervisors through documented inspections.
• Assist with building training content to ensure workforce is properly educated.
• Focus on process improvement and identifying cost-saving measures.
• Continue education on governing electrical codes and manufacturing practices.
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.

Work Environment :

The work will take place onsite at a greenfield Solar Farm with a capacity of 110 MW. The project will be executed in four sections and is expected to take a year to complete. The role requires the ability to move from project to project site as needed.

Job Type & Location :

This is a contract position based out of Edwardsville, IL. Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
