Job description

GHR Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Zion, Illinois.

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care team. This role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex, life-threatening conditions in a multidisciplinary acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
  • Monitor and manage life-support equipment, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Assess, document, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
  • Maintain accurate, real-time charting and uphold all infection control and safety standards

    • Qualifications :

  • Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU or critical care experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN a plus
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
