Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Benefit Programs Specialist III
The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Benefit Programs Specialist III performs advanced technical functions requiring comprehensive knowledge of public assistance policies and procedures. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of benefit assistance cases.
Duties :
- Independently review benefit assistance cases to assess accuracy and compliance with established timelines. Goal of 6% or less error rate.
- Re-review cases previously audited by supervisory staff to ensure consistency and adherence to policy.
- Apply extensive knowledge of public assistance programs, including SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and other benefits.
- Operate autonomously from the Benefit Programs unit, following DHS Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) guidelines.
- Document findings and provide feedback to improve program performance and service delivery.
- Create effective weekly and monthly reports for leadership that highlight trends and errors within each case and staff, keeping in mind caseload volume and knowledge of staff members.
