Pay Information

$250 to $275 per hour

About The Position

Seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to work forensic outpatient shifts with the New York OMH in Coxsackie, New York (NY) Starting in January, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

This position provides forensic outpatient psychiatric services across two correctional facilities : Coxsackie MHU and Greene MHU. Both facilities are located on the same campus, requiring less than one mile of travel between them. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview.

Location :  Coxsackie, NY :  Coxsackie MHU & Greene MHU (two correctional facilities on the same campus)

Schedule :

  • Full-time, 40 hours / week | Monday–Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient psychiatric care within Coxsackie and Greene Mental Health Units.
  • Travel between facilities as needed (less than one mile).
  • Follow all facility guidelines and maintain accurate documentation.

    • Facility Details

    Greene Correctional Facility (OMH Level 3) :

  • No patients diagnosed with serious mental illness.
  • Approximately 300 patients in general population or special housing units.

    • Coxsackie Correctional Facility :

  • Includes patients with significant mental illness.
  • Coxsackie Regional Medical Unit (Level 1 housing) has about 15 patients who may have a serious mental health diagnosis.

    Job Requirements

    REQUIRED :

    NY License active and unrestricted

    BC-Psychiatry

    Enrolled in NYS Medicare / Medicaid

    Experience in forensic or correctional psychiatry preferred.
