Position Summary:

The Nurse Aide provides essential support to patients in meeting their basic needs and assisting with daily activities under the supervision of an RN or LPN. You will enhance patient care coordination and maintain clear communication with patients, families, and team members while ensuring a safe and clean environment. You will report directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred but not required.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification is required upon hire.
• Completion of Nurse Aide competencies during the orientation period.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within the orientation period.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide general patient care that addresses physical and psychosocial needs.
2. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
3. Effectively communicate any changes in patient status to the RN or LPN.
4. Document and report vital data accurately.
5. Ensure a safe environment that promotes positive patient outcomes.
6. Demonstrate flexibility and organization under stress.
7. Communicate clearly with team members and health care professionals.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure unit efficiency.
9. Safely transport patients to various departments as needed.
10. Carry out specialized tasks as trained, such as telemetry application, EKGs, and more.
