- Provide direct patient care, including : \n
- Patient assessment\n
- Developing and implementing care plans\n
- Assisting in medical procedures (especially pain interventions)\n
- Evaluating patient progress and adjusting care as needed\n
- Perform clinical tasks, such as : \n
- Administer medications or injections\n
- Assist with minor surgical or procedural pain treatments\n
- Monitor vitals\n
- Educate patients on pain management and follow-up care\n\nAdditional Tasks May Include : \n
- Sterile technique tasks : \n
- Gowning and gloving\n
- Retraction and limb holding during procedures\n
- Assisting with patient positioning\n
- Assisting with operating room (OR) setup and cleanup\n
- Lab-related tasks : \n
- Drawing blood or preparing lab specimens (if at community clinics)\n
- On-call responsibilities : \n
- Be available for call shifts as needed\n
- Carry a pager\n\nCertifications Required (some may be obtained during orientation) : \n
- RN License (ND or Compact state)\n
- BLS (Basic Life Support)\n
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)\n
