Department / Unit Summary

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Spring View Hospital fosters a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This 7-bed unit ensures that patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

How You'll Contribute

As an RN, you’ll make a significant impact by :

  • Utilizing specialized care plans and serving as a patient-care innovator.
  • Shaping exceptional patient journeys every day.
  • Leveraging your skills and our cutting-edge technology to enhance patient well-being.
  • Demonstrating professional development and clinical competency.
  • Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Addressing health educational needs for patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Managing patient care assignments and organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations.
  • Acting in a clinical leadership role.
  • Applying knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions.
  • Floating to the MedSurg unit as needed.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

    • Qualifications and Requirements

    Education and Experience :

  • Associate's degree required .
  • Bachelor's degree preferred .
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience is strongly preferred.

    • Certifications :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • CCRN certification is preferred.
  • PALS certification is recommended.

    • License :

  • Current RN license in the State of Kentucky.
