Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY : DEUTZ Field Service Technicians provide expertise in field service troubleshooting, installations, and repair of our machinery. The Field Service Technician will perform field-related preventative maintenance and routine repairs on all DEUTZ products and non-DEUTZ construction equipment operating within the DEUTZ Power Center. The role requires robust problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and work in a team environment. The ideal candidate must be personable, reliable, ethical, and diligent.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Field Service Technicians will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties :

• Travel to customer locations to perform engine and equipment-related repairs.
• Assist in resolving customer-related issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility and present a positive image of DEUTZ.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs; pre-order parts and materials as required.
• Inspect required repairs safely and effectively; ensure repairs meet manufacturer requirements.
• Ensure proper cosmetic appearance upon completion of repairs.
• Return unused parts and materials per DEUTZ Power Center guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Communicate with customers in a respectful and honest manner.
• Identify solutions necessary to complete repairs; complete all work orders and time sheets promptly.
• Consult with the DEUTZ Service Department ticket system for accuracy and approval of repairs.
• Maintain vehicle parts inventory at an appropriate level for first-call completions and local parts sales.
• Work in accordance with established policies and procedures; assist in filing warranty claims and customer invoices.
• Follow all DEUTZ policies, including travel and company credit card usage.
• Maintain and clean service trucks to meet DOT requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Travel

Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 70-90% depending on business needs.
