Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring Epic experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and passage of an EKG exam.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma, teaching hospital
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 2-3 in the ICU
  • Charting is completed using Epic; experience is required
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00 – 07 : 00) with every other weekend required
  • Floating may be required within hospital ICUs and to a sister campus as needed
  • Must wear royal blue and white scrubs
  • Level III Trauma Center work environment
  • First-time travelers are not preferred, but will be considered at manager discretion depending on experience
  • No on-call required
  • Modules must be completed pre-start and are non-billable
  • Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Maximum of 2 contracts permitted; after completion, a 6-month break is required before returning
  • References not required at time of consideration
  • Up to one holiday off can be approved; total RTO approval at manager discretion

  • Active NC or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Certifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Must pass an EKG exam as a condition of consideration
  • Epic experience required for all RN specialties
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from both Central Harnett and Betsy Johnson campuses
  • Pending licenses not accepted
