Job descriptionAttends referee clinic Learns the rules of basketball and Moab City Recreation league rules Arrives 10 minutes prior to scheduled game time, dressed and ready to start game Starts all games on time Comes prepared to referee : Wears black shorts or athletic pants Wears referee shirt (provided by Moab City) Establishes contact with coaches and players Is consistent, fair and firm in calls made Records all scores accurately and reports results to Sports & Recreation Manager at end of the day Uses referee call as teaching opportunity if appropriate Supervision received : The Referee works under the supervision of the Sports & Recreation Manager. Supervision Exercised : The Jr. Jazz Basketball Referee provides general supervision and support for the basketball participants.
Time Requirements :
- As scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings between mid-November and early February
Essential Duties :
Wears running / athletic sneakers or cleats
