We are looking for a dynamic Digital Communications Specialist to help bring our stories to life through compelling, creative content that connects with employees and external audiences alike. Our ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to our existing internal and external communications to drive organizational initiatives and goals with a strong focus on content creation, social media, and visual storytelling.
This position will report to the Communications Manager and be based on-site, full-time at our divisional headquarters in New Haven, CT, with occasional travel (up to 25%).
What you'll do
Create engaging content with global reach
- Support the development of creative communication campaigns aligned with business priorities to be shared across internal and external channels.
- Concept, create, and produce digital content including written content, short-form video, and photography, for our internal and external channels.
- Adapt content tone and format to suit different audiences, platforms, and communication goals.
- Contribute ideas that elevate storytelling across internal communications, employer branding, and corporate channels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
Support internal and external communications - Support internal initiatives that engage employees across locations.
- Execute content creation for our external channels (including LinkedIn) ensuring consistency with ASSA ABLOY's brand and messaging.
- Develop and execute a strategic external content calendar aligned with organizational initiatives.
- Share and manage content across internal and external platforms (e.g., intranet, digital signage, email, social channels).
- Analyze content performance using relevant KPIs and create concise reports highlighting performance, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in communications, content creation, social media, or a related role. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
- A content creator mindset with hands-on experience producing written, video, or visual content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency of social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar) a plus.
