The Division of General Pediatric Surgery at Cohen Children's Medical Center provides comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents across the full spectrum of pediatric general and thoracic surgical conditions. We are renowned for our expertise and extensive training in :

• Minimally Invasive Surgery : Utilizing advanced techniques to optimize outcomes and recovery.
• Surgical Oncology : Collaborating closely with our robust oncology program to provide integrated care.
• Pediatric & Adolescent Colorectal Center : Delivering specialized surgical interventions for complex IBD cases and congenital malformations.
• Neonatal & Fetal Surgery : Offering expert care for critically ill newborns requiring surgical intervention.
• Trauma & Acute Care Surgery : Supporting Extracorporeal Life Support (ECMO) for comprehensive surgical care.

You will lead a team of 12 highly skilled and dedicated general / trauma pediatric surgeons, strategically located across different markets we serve from Westchester to Suffolk County. This role offers the unique blend of clinical leadership, strategic development, academic responsibility, and administrative oversight within a rapidly growing and nationally recognized institution.

A Medical School Seeking to Redefine Medical Education

As Chief, you will hold an academic appointment at The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell, providing a direct connection to medical education and research. Cohen Children's Medical Center is the primary clinical site for the school’s two-year clinical fellowship training program in pediatric surgery.
