Custodial Services Supervisor
This is the third of three levels in the Custodial Services series. Incumbents supervise lower level custodial staff. Responsibilities may include assigning and prioritizing work; inspecting completed work; tracking the use of supplies; ordering supplies; and maintaining custodial equipment.

- Supervises custodial staff to include : prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of custodial services, which includes : planning and coordinating projects; implementing processes, procedures, and standards; and monitoring workflows and work assignments.
- Performs job site inspections to ensure desired outcomes and compliance with applicable safety standards and specifications; enforces employee adherence to applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Reviews, prepares, and maintains a variety of records, work orders, schedules, and reports.
- Monitors and maintains applicable equipment, supplies, and related inventory; prepares specifications for equipment; requisitions equipment and supplies.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Parish's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and three years custodial experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement. The employee is responsible for abiding by the Police Jury's Uniform Agreement.
