My Life My Choice, a survivor-led program of the Justice Resource Institute working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children is looking for a Grants and Institutional Giving Coordinator to join their team!
My Life My Choice, a program of the Justice Resource Institute, provides survivor-led solutions aimed at ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). My Life My Choice offers survivor mentoring, intensive case management, prevention education, and group work to young people of all genders impacted by CSEC across Eastern Massachusetts. Throughout the U.S., My Life My Choice offers evidence-based prevention and intervention models for replication, professional training, consultation, and advocacy.
The Grants and Institutional Giving Coordinator is a key member of My Life My Choice's strong, but mighty Development team and plays a key role in helping us achieve our mission by coordinating all aspects of foundation and institutional giving, serving as liaison to the My Life My Choice Advisory Board, and supporting the overall strategy and execution of the organization's fundraising goals. The Grants Coordinator reports to the Co-Director. Salary : $48,000 - $54,000 annually.
In This Role You Will :
- Further develop and lead My Life My Choice's grant strategy to attract and grow foundation, government, and institutional support.
- Collaborate with leadership across the organization to understand program needs and develop fundable project concepts.
- Cultivate, manage, and steward a portfolio of existing funders, ensuring strong relationships and ongoing alignment with My Life My Choice's mission.
- Research and identify prospective funding opportunities aligned with My Life My Choice's mission and priorities.
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, sponsor requests, and related materials tailored to funder guidelines.
- Manage submission calendars and track deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
- Prepare and submit interim and final reports for awarded grants, in collaboration with program and finance staff.
- Ensure all awarded grants are managed effectively, including project management, budget oversight, compliance, and reporting in partnership with the Finance team and program staff.
- Partner with internal teams to gather data, stories, and impact metrics for use in proposals, reports, and other development communications.
- Ensure accurate documentation, fund designation, and timely acknowledgement of grants and institutional contributions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of proposals, awards, and reporting requirements in the Salesforce database.
- Serve as a lead writer for MLMC and further develop and maintain MLMC's strength-based, survivor-centric voice for social justice by writing and reviewing content.
- Support the Development Manager in other fundraising initiatives as needed.
- Assist with the planning and execution of the organization's annual gala and other events as needed, and oversee sponsorship strategy and execution.
- Be an engaged and effective ally to survivors of commercial sexual exploitation if that is not part of your own identity.
- Other tasks as needed.

Must be 21 years of age.Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant management or institutional fundraising, with a successful record of securing major grants at the five- and six-figure levels.Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Experience developing project budgets and tracking expenses against grant requirements.Ability to comfortably work across departments and translate programmatic work into clear and compelling proposals and reports.Proficiency in development-related tools, such as : Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, and Classy or other online fundraising platform(s)Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy policies.Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines in a complex organization.Strong organizational and time management skills.Flexibility to work some evenings.A personal interest in and commitment to social justice, in particular ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children.A high level of comfort and accuracy in working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets.Ability to proofread and edit a range of written and visual materials.Survivors of commercial sexual exploitation are encouraged to apply.Maintain a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.Background and driving record checks will be performed.My Life My Choice is a Program of Justice Resource Institute (JRI).
