Customs Brokerage Agent | Part-Time Employment

Scope of Position :   A Customs Brokerage Agent is responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of information and documents necessary to facilitate Customs clearance of our Customers goods into the US. They will cooperate with US Customs Partner Government Agencies and our internal Compliance Team to ensure entries are prepared in compliance with US Government laws and regulations Expeditors policies and customer business rules. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail proven critical thinking skills and the ability to perform at a high level in an autonomous environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Operations

• Actively utilize Workboard to prioritize shipment processing based on company process standards
• Proactively seek information and documents needed to key / submit all entries within expectations
• Complete and submit all Partner Government Agency forms (i.e. FDA F&W) accurately and timely
• Understanding of and timely and accurate utilization of system event codes in every file
• Maintain good notes in the shipment log of each file
