JOB DESCRIPTION

THE POSITION

The FBI is seeking individuals who can apply mathematics and data expertise to investigative work as Special Agents. This role blends mathematical and data-analysis skills with law enforcement responsibilities to protect national security against cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and evolving criminal activity.

The Bureau provides specialized training, real-world investigative experience, and access to cutting-edge technology to refine predictive and statistical analysis skills and develop leadership in the field.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.
• Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure the readiness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Pay level for this position : $99,461.00–$128,329.00. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
