We're seeking a Project Manager – Energy Services to lead LED lighting, solar, and energy optimization projects from concept through completion. This role oversees planning, execution, and delivery of energy initiatives that improve building performance, reduce operating costs, and support our clients' sustainability goals across commercial and industrial portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle for solar, LED, and energy service projects — including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-schedule installations.
- Develop proposals and scopes of work for solar PV systems, lighting retrofits, and energy management upgrades.
- Monitor project budgets and P&L performance, ensuring cost control and profitability targets are met.
- Collaborate with Crete United's MEP partners to integrate solar, LED, HVAC, and controls solutions for total building efficiency.
- Manage vendor and client relationships, ensuring clear communication, milestone tracking, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with energy codes, permitting, interconnection, and utility rebate requirements.
- Oversee commissioning and closeout, including system verification, performance reporting, and client training.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery processes and support growth of Crete United's energy services program.
Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience : 3–5 years of project management in energy, electrical, or renewable systems — solar, LED, or energy efficiency projects preferred.Technical knowledge : Familiar with solar PV systems, LED retrofits, energy audits, and controls integration.Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead field and subcontractor teams through complex energy installations.Software proficiency : MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar project management tools.Certifications : PMP or NABCEP certification is a plus.Skils : Strong communication, financial acumen, and organizational ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
