We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Inspector with a NICET II certification to join our Transportation & Infrastructure Division. In this role, you will oversee and inspect bridge construction and / or bridge substructure repair near Newark, NJ, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, and regulations. The position may also include office engineer duties. Work schedule varies, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Appointment is subject to client review and approval.

Responsibilities include :

  • Conduct site inspections of highway and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Monitor and document construction progress and deviations.
  • Coordinate with project teams and resolve issues.
  • Review plans and specifications for accuracy.
  • Prepare inspection reports and daily records.
  • Maintain records of quantities and costs.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Review traffic protection measures.
  • Attend meetings as needed.

Qualifications :

  • NICET Level II certification (Level III considered with negotiable compensation).
  • 5+ years of construction inspection experience, focusing on transportation infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within NJ and NYC Metro Area.

    • Preferred :

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Certifications like NJSAT, NACE, ACI Grade-I, TCC / TCP.
