The Facilities / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, andgeneral repairs to building, facilities, and machinery. Evaluates, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems within the facilityaccording to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Instrumental in the development and planning of facility move and / or expansion projects and subsequent physical move(s) as required. Receives and responds to reports of mechanical, electrical, or other maintenance issues on the premises in a timely and expeditious manner, ensuring facility and equipment is operating at optimal and safe capacities at all times. Assesses and communicates to the Manufacturing Manager any work that might be outside the scope of this role that warrants external expert assistance such security & fire alarm systems, etc. Assures the machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
AA Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance and / or related Certifications desirable. Completion of an apprenticeship under a professional Maintenance Technician preferred.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing facility operations and safety procedures required.
Knowledge of CNC Machinery preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude acquired through combination of hands-on job experience, vocational school, and / or outside activities.
Considerable tact and human relations skills in interacting with all levels of management, office, and shop personnel.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills required.
Must be able to use and safely operate a variety of hand & power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, carpenter tools, and measuring tools in performing duties.
Excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize, and work well independently.
Welding experience is a plus.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Must possess a flexible work schedule.
Proficiency with computers preferred.
