Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hospice unit position requiring state or compact licensure and recent hospice experience.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospice unit within a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)

Day shifts with an 8-hour shift length

Required to work every 3-4 weekends and take part in a holiday rotation

13-week assignment

Uses Epic charting system

Provide patient-centered hospice care in an acute care setting

12 hours of orientation provided at start of assignment

Participation in holiday coverage is expected

Certain states (AZ, NV, NE, IA, MN) require permanent residence of at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility

Candidates who have worked directly for affiliated health systems in the past 12 months are not eligible

Requirements

Active state or Compact (NLC) RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience, with hospice experience preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Copy of driver’s license required for consideration

Two professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire status
