National Construction Professional Liability Consultant (AVP OR VP)

Overview

Zurich North America is hiring a National Construction Professional Liability Consultant (AVP OR VP) to join our Specialties Construction team. We are open to hiring talent located within a commutable distance to any ZNA office location to benefit from our flexible, hybrid working arrangements. We are also open to hiring talent on a fully-remote basis based on the discretion of the hiring manager.

This role will be responsible for various aspects of Construction Professional Liability portfolio management including utilizing data analytics to inform strategy, stewarding underwriting quality, and partnering in tool & product innovation efforts. Additional responsibilities include analyzing and underwriting highly complex new and renewal business in a referral capacity as a subject matter expert. The position will support Construction's efforts in customer service and profitable growth, working closely with leadership and various internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive first-party risk transfer solutions for Contractors Professional Protective Indemnity, Owners Professional Protective Indemnity, along with other emerging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage data analytics-based initiatives at a national level, providing insights and subsequent tangible action items
• Partner with Technical Underwriting in guideline and Business Strategic Directive development
• Spearhead SBU led efforts in underwriting quality, including file / regulatory documentation and Technical Underwriting Reviews / Audits
• Work at the highest authority limits on assignments utilizing a high degree of technical complexity and coordination, and under minimal direction, underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels of highly complex assignments. Coordinate and support global referrals as required
• Demonstrate specialized knowledge and expertise in products and industry
• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manuals

Compensation & Benefits

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. In compliance with local laws, Zurich commits to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range for each role. The combined salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $280,000.00. The proposed salary range for the AVP level is $130,000.00- $215,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%. The proposed salary range for the VP Level is $175,000.00 - $280,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
