RAE Security is hiring a Traveling Project Manager based in Houston, Tx. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, Texas based security company that has experienced seven consecutive years of expansion. As part of our dynamic operations teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering integrated security solutions across multiple regions.
In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end project execution from planning and coordination to on-site implementation-while building strong relationships with clients and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The position involves regular travel to project sites, offering variety, autonomy, and chance to work with cutting-edge security technologies. Responsibilities :
Oversee installation of security systems : intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, intercom, and monitoringManage project scope, schedule, materials, and manpowerLead pre-construction meetings and collaborate with salesCoordinate appropriate technician and subcontractor labor to meet project schedulesEnsure timely delivery and availability of materials on-siteConduct site kickoff meetings and provide scope documentationProvide the local installation team with a copy of the scope of workCoordinate between end users and installersProvide an estimated installation scheduleManage and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completionProgram S2 access control systemsProgram surveillance camerasProgram Exacq video management systemsCommunicate with field staff and operations to track project progress and ensure expectations are metStay organized and exercise effective time management to prioritize workloadInteract professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkersDemonstrate a willingness to continue learning and remain open-mindedUnderstand and follow all safety regulations and practicesPerform any other duties deemed appropriate by managementRequired :
3-5 years Project Management experience in the security field doing installation or service of security systemsRead and interpret diagrams, blueprints and specificationsPass drug and background screeningsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to meet state licensing requirements and / or vendor certificationsValid driver’s licenseProficiency working in Microsoft Suite : Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointPhysical Demands :
Ability travel frequently by car and air to project sites across regional and national locationsMust be able to stand, walk, and move around job sites for extended periodsOccasionally required to lift and / or move up to 50 poundsAbility to climb ladders, bend, kneel, or crouch as needed during site inspections or installationsMust be able to work in a verity of environments, including construction sites, rooftops, and mechanical roomsVisual acuity to read blueprints, technical documents, and computer screensManual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and standard office technologyRequirements :
