Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,130 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Oncology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 year of experience required License : Valid State License required Certifications : BCLS required; Chemotherapy certification preferred Description : BMT Oncology position available. Will need to pass the required EKG exam. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Floating is required throughout the Oncology department as needed. Ratios are 4 : 1 for all shifts. Average daily census is 30 patients. 32 beds / rooms are available on the unit. Every other weekend is required. Auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration are performed. At least 1 year of general med / surg experience is required. Oncology experience is not required; training for oncology / chemotherapy patients will be provided. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various teams. Patient diagnoses include BMT Oncology and management of complications from blood cancers. Special procedures performed include auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration. Specific charting experience required; familiarity with the electronic charting system is necessary. Additional skills include administration of blood and blood products, antiemetics, central line care, Foley catheter management, and telemetry monitoring. Compliance with health and safety protocols is a must. No local candidates will be accepted within a specific radius. References may be required at the time of submission.
