Job description

We have an outstanding contract position for aTechnical Expert to join a leading Company located in theWashington, DCsurrounding area.

Pay Rate : $67.30

US Citizenship is required.

Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.

The Technical Expert provides strategic planning for Accessibility and Section 508 compliance to ensure continuity of the technical direction and implementation across multiple development teams. Assists the government in developing a technical strategic direction. The Technical Expert develops solutions to complex technical problems using industry best practices and maintains a full understanding of all aspects of the production system and the impact of future changes.

Job Responsibilities :

Delivers key strategic planning documentation, including the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Form 300.

Supports up to 12 Accessibility Liaison events to include PowerPoint preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up action items.

Provides customer service desk support for ICT accessibility complaints and ICT Accessibility testing.

Supports and leads accessibility related trainings to include Section 508 awareness, Creating Accessible Documents, and FIAT training (up to 50 total trainings in a year).

Supports and provides subject matter expertise and customer support to system owners and technical personnel for ensuring 100% of ICT systems are tested for Section 508 compliance and meeting SharePoint site testing goals.

Creates and executes project plans, communication plans, and refined communications products for overall technology governance.

Manages administrative and logistical duties for multi-division working groups where OCIO leads and supports throughout the enterprise and reports back to senior leadership.

Establishes and maintains relationships with working-level stakeholders within and outside of the OCIO, to include external partners , such as the DOJ and the Intelligence Community.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester certification or equivalent.

Minimum of 5+ years' experience recommended.

In the absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
