Job descriptionHospital case management unit with a focus on general case management Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday Position requires work five days per week, totaling 40 hours Cases involve coordinating care across the continuum and facilitating discharge planning May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed No blocked scheduling available Responsibilities include facilitating precertification and payor authorization, coordinating collaborative patient care, and supporting performance improvement efforts Role requires supporting and coaching clinical documentation and serving as a resource for coders Must complete required online modules onsite prior to start and achieve passing scores COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for this assignment Internal background and drug screening processes must be completed at a designated lab within 24 hours of commitment Holiday coverage and time-off requests must be discussed and approved by management after assignment starts Active and valid RN license in the state of Michigan Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Minimum two years of case management experience (utilization case management experience does not apply) American Heart Association (AHA) certifications required Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and organizational skills required Analytical and data management skills, as well as proficiency with PC applications, required Preferred experience with Care Manager and Epic systems Preferred prior experience with discharge planning and managed care reimbursement High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
