DESCRIPTION :
The position of System Administrator is established to perform LAN / WAN (Local Area Network and Wide Area Network) projects involving the design, analysis, maintenance and implementation of equipment and networks and perform system administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and peripheral devices.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights to various systems and applications.
- Ensure data backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
- Conduct routine system maintenance, including applying patches, updates, and security configurations.
- Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide technical support and guidance.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, hardware, and software to improve system performance and security.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in system administration.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Technology, degree, or relevant experienceProven experience as a system administrator or similar role.(1-2 years of Experience)Microsoft Operating Systems 2008R2 to 2012 R2, and Microsoft Office 365Cisco ASA firewall technology and Cisco switching and routingSymantec Endpoint ProtectionVMware 5.5 including VLAN and Enterprise Plus featuresExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with users and IT staff effectively.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.COMPETENCIES :
