Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary
The manufacturing Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees. Assist the Engineering Director with closely maintaining the various processes related to the production operation. Work as a key team member to ensure a safe work environment, comply with environmental requirements, and sustain manufacturing as required.
Job Status
This is a nonexempt position within the company. You will be required to supervise the manufacturing operators. You will report to the President.
General Accountabilities
Creates schedules to always ensure adequate and efficient staffing.
Motivates staff and maintains a positive work environment.
Performing and delegating equipment start up and shut down procedures are maintained daily.
Complies with and enforces OSHA and Environmental regulations in manufacturing.
Assists with the plant's waste minimization program.
Coordinates and plans manufacturing activities.
Plans and establishes manufacturing sequences to meet manufacturing goals.
Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions in coordination with the guidance of the Engineering Director.
Observes work and monitors process, equipment, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to manufacturing and processing standards.
Conducts employee training with manufacturing procedures or assigns employee training with an experienced and capable employee.
Assists with indirect inventory control for the company under the guidance of the Engineering Director.
Helps manage office and plant supplies, and keep optimum inventory level
Identifies and resolves count discrepancies between actual count and book count for shipping and receiving.
Interprets company policies and procedures for workers.
Ad hoc reporting daily / weekly / monthly as needed.
Actively participate and engage in all company ISO and IATF activities.
Inputs manufacturing work orders weekly. Inputs receiving data into work order system for manufacturing.
Assists all managers as needed.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment subject to OSHA and Environmental regulations. The company is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. You must be able to comply with all regulations.
Physical Requirements
You are required to lift heavy items between 25 to 50 pounds in accordance with OSHA requirements.
You are required to be able to bend, stoop, walk, and stand throughout your shift.
You are required to work independently or as a member of a team as required.
Job Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience : 5 years of related work experience.
Continuous on-the-job learning is required.
Skills
Computer : Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent active listener, open to direction and have a collaborative work style.
Proficient in coordination
Demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards.
