Job Description
The Facility Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of all utility systems and general facility equipment within the battery manufacturing plant.
- This includes managing critical systems such as electricity, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning). The role involves ensuring the reliability of utility services and general facilities in support of production processes and handling associated maintenance activities. Additionally, the engineer will improve utility efficiency, manage external contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities :
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all utility systems, including electrical, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and without any interruptionsMonitor utility consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities, and manage utility budgets to reduce costs while maintaining optimal performance of facilitiesLead troubleshooting and resolution of utility issues and general facility maintenance items. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceProvide technical information regarding production or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations that affect long-term planningSelect and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for utility-related services; including maintenance, repairs and system upgradesNegotiate contracts and manage service agreementsEnsure minimal production interruptions by ensuring safe and timely resolution to planned and unplanned outagesMaintain accurate records of utility systems' performances, maintenance schedules, work orders and compliance documentationsRegularly report on utility performance to senior managementMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards

Qualifications : Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of facilities experience in production / plant environmentBachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical engineering or related field requiredProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) experiencePreferred but not requiredSix Sigma certificationPreferred but not requiredExperience with DOE (Design of experiments)Preferred but not requiredExperience using CAD (Computer-aided design) and codingPreferred but not requiredMust be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours
