Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to manufacture products that meet quality specifications at the rated output.
• Continuously monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance, including final QC lot acceptance.
• Notify QC representatives and shift supervisors of quality problems.
• Repair, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery, including dismantling, replacing parts, and reassembling. Seek assistance from engineers, controls group, tool room, etc.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products produced, raw materials, and product quality specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation (PPH, scrap / waste, SAP, MES transactions).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and support production by delivering raw materials, supplies, and spare parts.
• Notify shift lead or supervisor of equipment issues and help develop corrective actions.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and coordinate completion of repairs during PM time.
• Maintain inventory of critical repair components in Parts Crib.
• Propose process improvements to enhance cost, efficiency, quality, and productivity while maintaining change control.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement activities, providing instruction to operators on behavior-based safety procedures.
• Execute additional duties as required by shift lead / supervisor and may correct problems during off-shifts and on-call basis.
• Ensure efficient shift transfer through effective communication.
• Debrief accidents and implement solutions to eliminate root causes.

Qualifications

Work Schedule and Location

Hours : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM. The role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week. Primary location : Canaan, CT.
