Electrical Controls Engineer – Automation & Field Integration

As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you'll design and deploy advanced automation systems that power industrial operations across the country. From programming PLCs to supporting on-site startups, you'll be hands-on with every phase of the project—making an impact from the drawing board to the production floor.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and program control systems using PLCs and HMIs (primarily Allen-Bradley) for custom industrial equipment.
Serve as a technical resource for customers, providing support and documentation for previously delivered systems.
Design electrical schematics and single-line diagrams for both new builds and system upgrades.
Create detailed site plans, including motor and device layouts, to guide installation teams.
Partner with purchasing to specify and source components for electrical projects.
Investigate and resolve system issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Travel to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, and equipment startup—bringing your designs to life.
What You’ll Bring
Strong experience in PLC programming, HMI development, and electrical wiring.
Solid understanding of control systems, electrical installation, and commissioning.
Familiarity with Wonderware, AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, and 3D modeling tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Epicor for documentation and project coordination.
Experience with ANSYS or similar simulation tools is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00 / hr.
